F-22 Raptor and The Thunderbirds at the Point Mugu Airshow on April 1, 2007
The Point Mugu Airshow happens every spring in Oxnard, California. Private and military aircraft are displayed on the air field for public display. There are flight demonstrations, airplane walkthroughs and commercial booths in addition to the day's main event, the Thunderbirds.
Sunday's highlight was the first in flight demonstration of an F-22 Raptor at Point Mugu. The Rapter is reguarded as the worlds most effective air-superiority fighter. Threre was a short pre-flight delay that involved swapping one of the Thunderbirds with a back-up just before they were scheduled to take-off.
